Art Gallery and Studio

Within the classroom block, a special room was reserved, designed and organized as the official school art gallery and production studio for industrial art, design and graphics. Within the said room, the school installed various unique and attractive materials for the learning and practicing practically art and design. The room is painted with different colours such as red, blue, cream, pink, magenta, orange, green, brown, maroon, black and white to bring out the actual nature of art.
More still, the art gallery is used as the show or exhibition room for various art, crafts, art pieces, products of pottery like sculptures, dishes, ceramics, tie and die, weaving, paper images, wood pieces and the like. Since there is graphics work, the college art gallery has fixed complete computer sets or work stations for research, design and production of computer generated art work. Hence it’s the college’s production studio. Still, art is closely linked to music, dance and drama.
Therefore, usually the MATCODRA club members use this facility for some of their tasks. The art gallery is well arranged, run and controlled by the professional art teachers, trainers and the learners who take art as their principal subject in “A” level.
