State-of-the-Art Modern Computer Laboratory

MATCO has a state-of-the-art modern computer laboratory which was specifically designed for the usage of the complete sets of computers in form of desktops, laptops, beamers or projectors and related appliances such as keyboards, mouses and the CPUs. All the computer accessories, or software are kept in this hub. The windows and doors have burglar proofs and strong locks to guarantee security and safety of the computers.

The facility is professionally wired and connected with stable and constant internet services using the latest technology. The internal walls were carefully plastered and painted with white and cream silk emulsions to provide a serene and attractive glandor that enables the teacher to project images on the white walls using the modern beamers or projectors for easy teaching and experiments. The images all appear clear and not blurred. They can be seen by any learner in the computer room.

Further, there are nice tiles on the floors of the computer laboratory which are kept constantly clean and free from dust. Additionally, the administration brought in soft carpets which absorb any dust and all learners enter the hub without shoes akin to studios of radio stations.

To bring out the real picture of a modern computer hub; all complete sets of computers are separately but permanently fixed to the well-designed strong long tables running on the walls. Each set forms a work station with all the paraphernalia to enable every learner acquire the requisite training, learning and knowledge in information communication technology. The work stations are not shifted or transferred. Even during the examinations, they remain intact. This enables the school to keep the machines safe and secure

In terms of management, the computer center is under the strict and regular supervision, monitoring and control of the professional ICT teachers, instructors, trainers, attendants and technicians. There is inside the hub, a well-designed office, a work table for the teachers, technicians and instructors. In case of any fault or damage or mishap to the machines or any component the same is instantly handled and sorted by them to ensure that the hub is accessible and in usable by all the learners as per the program of study and exams.

Still, the same teachers, trainers, attendants and technicians confer, liaise with the top administration research for the best machines, carry out the procurements, keep and maintain records, conduct stock taking, provide periodical reports and accountabilities on every aspect in the facility.

Moreso, a lot of what would be done by learners and teachers in the ordinary library are actually carried out in the school modern computer hub. For instance, under the competence-based curriculum, learners are given a lot of assignments by teachers to carry out research through critical thinking and report their findings to the teachers. The computer laboratory is the best source and a center for creativity and innovativeness. This is because it provides all the necessary information for the researchers using the stable internet for example the e-learning platforms and the on-line library where a learner can access any academic materials or textbook or references relevant to the particular topic or area of research at hand. This is in addition to the contemporary internet information sources notably google, chrome, AI and others.
